The insurer, AmTrust Financial Services Inc. (NASDAQ:AFSI), reported on Monday that it has finished its takeover of Sequoia Insurance Co. for almost $60 million.

AmTrust (AFSI) reported that Sequoia gives low hazard property and casualty insurance, consisting of workers’ compensation and commercial package insurance, to small businesses. It had $40 million in gross written premiums last year, as per reported by AmTrust.
